The Tesla Powerwall is currently the best known battery storage solution for residential and small commercial applications. It looks great and with its 13.5 kWh of storage capacity is big enough for most UK residential applications. The Tesla Powerwall can also provide back-up power in teh event of a grid outage.

Sonnen are a German manufacturer and the leading European manufacturer of grid tied residential battery systems. Sonnen battery systems are modular and as such you have a choice of storage capacity ranging from 5 kWh to 15 kWh.
Sonnen also offer a Hybrid unit which combines the inverter for a solar PV system together with the battery for an all-in-one storage system. Hence just one ‘box’ needs to be installed.

The LG Chem battery is compatible with the SolarEdge StoreEdge solution which enables customers to monitor their battery level as well as their PV generation from the cloud based software.
The battery is automatically charged and discharged to meet consumption needs and reduce the amount of power purchased from the grid. Existing SolarEdge systems can be upgraded to the StorEdge solution too.
