AC Coupled modular battery fully compatible with Enphase systems
The Enphase IQ Battery 5P is Enphase’s third generation all-in-one AC coupled storage system with a safe Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry. It supports self-consumption and time of use (TOU) modes. A single battery has a 3.2kVA continuous output rating and 5kWh capacity, however due to its modularity and flexible design you can easily expand the system with multiple units as your energy needs increase.
Enphase is looking to introduce backup functionality starting in 2026 which is currently unavailable in the UK.
The battery is cooled passively, meaning no moving parts and combined with the cobalt-free LFP chemistry, the risk of thermal runaway fires is reduced. Additionally, it has 15 year/6000 discharge cycle limited warranty and is comprised of six embedded IQ8D-BAT microinverters which can be swapped in the field if damaged, rather than replacing the entire battery. Finally, as part of the Enphase system, it offers homeowners remote monitoring and control from the Enphase App.
